Qatlasmap Maps from the Mesozoic Era to the Early Modern Period
There is a wide range of historically inspired maps to choose from, starting as far back as the Mesozoic era with a Prehistoric World Map featuring dinosaurs. On this map, I illustrated three very important eras: Triassic, Jurassic, and Cretaceous, with an emphasis on the dinosaur species characteristic of each era.
As you proceed, you will find a map inspired by the heyday of the Roman Empire, specifically the year 117 AD. I chose this period with good reason, since the Roman Empire was known to be at its greatest and most prosperous at that time. The Roman Empire map also includes illustrations of major cities of the time, such as Alexandria, Constantinople, and Ephesus.
Staying true to my roots, I couldn't leave out the Transylvania Map, which was primarily inspired by medieval cartography. This map shows major cities such as Cluj Napoca, Brașov, and Sibiu, as well as important landmarks such as Bran Castle (Dracula's Castle). Among the historical maps is the Varadinum Map as well, inspired by the 1618 Braun & Hogenberg map.
I could go on listing historical maps, but it's best if you discover them for yourself, as my workshop has many more interesting items in store.
Maps from the World of Fighting Fantasy
If you're here, you're probably familiar with the captivating Fighting Fantasy stories. Most of the maps in my workshop are inspired by this world, so it's only only natural that I've made them available in print form in my print shop.
Particularly popular among these are: The Warlock of Firetop Mountain Map, The Citadel of Chaos Map or The Dungeon on Blood Island Map.
Maps from Other Fantasy Worlds
However, I have also prepared some special items from other worlds, so you will also find the Middle Earth Fantasy Map in the selection, which pays tribute to the work of J.R.R. Tolkien.
Howard Phillips Lovecraft (1890–1937), the American writer who became known as the creator of cosmic horror literature, is also represented in the collection with maps inspired by his work, such as Lovecraft's Map of Innsmouth, which you might want to display on your wall.
Add a touch of adventure to your walls! Choose you favorite map and bring your favorite world to life.
